Coach Jackie McBroom
Jackie McBroom will be going into his 3rd season as the GHS head baseball coach, coming off a Final 8 appearance in 2017. Coach McBroom spent 4 years as the head baseball coach at Lincoln HS where they were city runner up 3 of the 4 years. McBroom also coached as an assistant at Golden from 2006-2009 which included a final 8 appearance in the playoffs. He grew up playing baseball in Texas before playing college baseball at Kansas Wesleyan University. He is married to Cindy McBroom and they have 2 sons, Trey and Brody.
Coach Tony Decarlo
Tony DeCarlo is entering his 3rd season at GHS. He had previously coached 2 years at Green Mountain High School. Tony graduated from Golden in 2008 and was MVP of the Colorado Top 50 game held at Coors field. As a middle infielder, Tony went on to play at Garden City Community College.
From Garden City, Tony attended the University of Northern Colorado and Metro State University. He takes pride in teamwork, accountability, and work ethic. With his knowledge of baseball, he believes in building a strong program at GHS.
Coach Jonathan Kaiser
Jonathan Kaiser is entering his 5th year as an assistant high school coach and third year at GHS. He coached at Lincoln HS 2 years and was the 2014 Senior Summer Legion team leading them to a 26-11 record, and a 2nd place finish in the RBI Playoff Tournament.
Coach Kaiser is a Denver native, and played baseball for Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, CO. After high school he attended Benedictine College and earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Management, and worked for a year as the Assistant Sports Information Director while pursuing his Masters in Business Administration.

Coach Chip Glass
Chip grew up playing baseball in Northern California before playing college baseball at Santa Rosa J.C.. It was there that he met his wife, Tina, of 23 yrs. They have 2 children, Chloe 17 and Brady 15. After Santa Rosa he received a baseball scholarship to Oklahoma University where he played for 2 seasons and was part of the 1994 National Championship team. He was drafted and played minor league baseball with the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees organizations. The Glass family has lived in Golden since 2004. They love the community and are very excited about helping out with the Golden High School program.
Coach Steve Brouwer
Steve Brouwer is entering his 8th season at GHS. He has coached the Level 3 team for the past 7 years finishing in the top 4 in the American division the last 3 seasons and is entering his first season as the JV assistant. Steve is a Golden native graduating from GHS in 1987 where he played varsity baseball for 3 years.
Steve started coaching youth baseball in Golden in 2008 as a head coach for 5 years and an assistant for 3 years. He took over as the Level 3 Director and head coach in 2010 taking pride in helping to build the program from the bottom up. Steve took on the additional role as the GJBA Equipment/Uniform Director in 2015. He has also played and managed in the NABA since 2001.
Coach Kaden Nostrom
Kaden Nostrom is entering his 2nd year at GHS with the level 3 team. He is currently a Junior at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) where he studies Geophysics. Kaden still continues to play baseball after his high school career at Ponderosa for the CSM Club Baseball team as well as NABA throughout the summer.
Kaden is 21 years of age and uses that to his advantage to help relate to his players. He loves to coach the level 3 team as he can introduce the new players into the Golden program and help them achieve their goals so that they will be JV/Varsity ready.
