Coach Jackie McBroom
Head Varsity Coach
Jackie McBroom will be going into his 9th season as the GHS head baseball coach, coming off back to back to back League Championship, Final 8 appearance in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2017 & State Runner-Up in 2023. Coach McBroom spent 4 years as the head baseball coach at Lincoln HS where they were city runner up 3 of the 4 years. McBroom also coached as an assistant at Golden from 2006-2009 which included a Final 8 appearance in the playoffs. He grew up playing baseball in Texas before playing college baseball at Kansas Wesleyan University. He is married to Cindy McBroom and they have 2 sons, Trey and Brody.

Coach Charlie Stevens
Asst. Varsity Pitching Coach
Charlie Stevens returns to Golden for his 9th season as the Varsity pitching coach. Before coaching at Golden he was an assistant coach at Lincoln HS for 2 years and stints at Littleton and Regis HS before that. He played HS baseball in Nevada, and college baseball at Merced JC and BYU. He lives in Aurora with his wife of 8 years Cris Stevens, their two dogs, three cats and a turtle.


Coach Chip Glass
Asst. Varsity Outfield Coach
Chip grew up playing baseball in Northern California before playing college baseball at Santa Rosa J.C.. It was there that he met his wife, Tina, of 23 yrs. They have 2 children, Chloe 21 and Brady 19. After Santa Rosa he received a baseball scholarship to Oklahoma University where he played for 2 seasons and was part of the 1994 National Championship team. He was drafted and played minor league baseball with the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees organizations. The Glass family has lived in Golden since 2004. They love the community and are very excited about helping out with the Golden High School program.
Coach Chad Sigg
Asst. Varsity Coach/Catching & Pitching Coach
Chad Sigg returned as a Golden assistant varsity baseball coach in 2022. Chad coached baseball at Golden HS from 2001 to 2009 where they won a state championship in 2003. He then went on to coach at Green Mountain HS until 2017, winning State Championships in 2014 and 2015. Chad is a Colorado native and graduate of Arvada West HS where he was an all-state catcher winning a State Championship in 1994 and catching Hall of Fame pitcher Roy Halladay. Chad played college baseball at Seward County Junior College and Fort Hays State. Chad is Westminster firefighter. He and his wife Holly have 14 year old twins, Cameron and Catelyn, and live nearby in Lakewood.


Coach Zach English
Asst. Varsity Coach
Zach grew up in Parker, CO and attended Legend HS where he played 4 years of baseball. After high school he attended and graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Studying athletes throughout college grew his passion about baseball which led to his desire to become a coach. He has been coaching Golden youth feeder teams for the last 5 years and preparing them for Golden high school baseball. He is excited about his opportunity to coach the JV team and watch the young kids he helped develop play and compete at a higher level.

Coach John Plonsky
Asst. JV Coach
John Plonsky is excited to be returning to Golden High School as assistant JV coach after volunteering the last 2 years. He appreciates the opportunity to support and strengthen the baseball program. John grew up in Colorado Springs playing competitive baseball and helped win a city championship for Doherty High School as a pitcher. John is semi-retired from everyday work and his passion for baseball was rekindled in 2022 by this committed group of players and coaches. For the past six years, Golden has been home with his wife Kathy of 34 years. They have two grown daughters, Kristen and Julie, and a son-in-law Chet. They enjoy spending time with their yellow lab-mix named Louie.
